It happened in the quiet hours tracing historic patterns, studying master saddlers, and recognizing that working with vegetable-tanned hide is an ancient, uninterrupted lineage. What leaves my workshop in Moore, Oklahoma isn't mass-produced goods—it’s functional art you carry every day.

The Art of the Sculpted Hide Every piece starts as a raw, blank side of premium vegetable-tanned leather. Transforming it into an heirloom requires patience, precision, and relentless technique:

  • The Intentional Cut: Hand-shaping the raw canvas with zero room for error.

  • Bevel & Mold: Casing the hide with exact moisture so it can be sculpted and shaped.

  • Hand-Tooling: Driving steel stamps with a mallet, strike by strike, to carve permanent, three-dimensional depth into the fibers.

  • Hand-Dyeing: Applying rich patinas and deep hues to make the hand-carved textures pop.
